As the global photovoltaic industry moves towards higher efficiency and lower cost, the TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) technology has become one of the mainstream routes for the next-generation solar cells. In this technological iteration, molybdenum wire, due to its unique physical and chemical properties, has become a key component of electrode materials and silver paste additives, driving the improvement of photovoltaic cell efficiency and cost optimization.

The core advantage of TOPCon cells lies in their backside passivation contact structure, which can reduce carrier recombination and enhance conversion efficiency (the current production efficiency has reached over 25%). In TOPCon cells, molybdenum wires are mainly used for: silver paste conductive additive: Molybdenum powder or molybdenum nanowires can optimize the conductivity and adhesion of the silver paste, reducing the amount of silver (lowering costs). Gate line electrode material: Ultra-fine molybdenum wires (diameter 10-30 μm) can be used as a partial substitute for silver as an electrode material, especially suitable for fine gate line processes. Back contact layer: Molybdenum films or molybdenum alloys can enhance the high-temperature resistance and long-term stability of the back electrode.

Due to its high-temperature stability, cost advantage and process compatibility, molybdenum wire is becoming a key material for TOPCon solar cells. With the pursuit of high efficiency and low-cost technologies in the photovoltaic industry, the demand for molybdenum wire will continue to grow. In the future, through material optimization and manufacturing process innovation, molybdenum wire is expected to play a more important role in the "silver removal" trend, promoting the photovoltaic industry to develop in a more sustainable direction.

Mosten Alloy can produce molybdenum sheet, molybdenum block, molybdenum foil, molybdenum rod, molybdenum wire, molybdenum processing workpiece according to customer demand.
