Heating principle of molybdenum strip

The principle of molybdenum strip heating in the furnace is based on resistance heating. When the current passes through the molybdenum strip, because the molybdenum material has a certain resistance, the current will encounter resistance in the process of flowing through the molybdenum strip, thus generating heat. This phenomenon follows Joule's Law, which is expressed as Q=I²Rt, where Q is heat, I is current, R is resistance, and t is time. Molybdenum strip is often used in high temperature furnaces because of its high temperature resistance, high melting point (about 2620°C) and good electrical conductivity.

Molybdenum strip shows excellent thermal stability under high temperature conditions, can maintain structure and conductivity for a long time, and is not easy to oxidize or deform. Due to these characteristics of molybdenum, it is suitable for vacuum furnaces, atmosphere furnaces and other environments as a heating element to provide stable high temperature heating. When used, molybdenum strips need to avoid exposure to oxidizing atmospheres, usually working in an inert gas (such as argon) or a vacuum environment to avoid surface oxidation affecting its performance and life.

Mosten Alloy can produce molybdenum sheet, molybdenum block, molybdenum foil, molybdenum rod, molybdenum wire, molybdenum cup, molybdenum processing workpiece according to customer demand.
