Molybdenum cup is a high-performance container made of molybdenum, which is widely used in material handling and production processes under high temperatures and extreme environments. Molybdenum has a high melting point (2620 ° C), good thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and excellent corrosion resistance in inert atmospheres and vacuum environments, making it an ideal material for a variety of demanding processes.

1. Application in vacuum melting
Molybdenum cup is widely used in vacuum melting, especially for melting high melting point metals and alloys (such as tungsten, tantalum, niobium, etc.). The melting point of these metals is very high, and traditional container materials cannot withstand such temperatures, while molybdenum cups can remain stable in a vacuum environment and do not react with molten metal. Therefore, molybdenum cups are often used as melting crucible in vacuum induction furnaces and vacuum electric arc furnaces to ensure the purity of metal materials and avoid contamination of impurities.

2. Application of crystal growth
In the semiconductor industry, molybdenum cups are often used for crystal growth processes at high temperatures, such as the growth process of silicon carbide (SiC), sapphire and other semiconductor materials. Molybdenum cups are used to hold raw materials to be treated and provide an ideal environment for crystal growth at high temperatures. Due to molybdenum's chemical stability and high temperature properties, these processes can be carried out without oxidation, thus ensuring the high purity and structural integrity of the crystals. The low thermal expansibility of the molybdenum cup makes it difficult to deform when the temperature changes rapidly, which helps to control the accuracy and stability of crystal growth.

3. Application of powder metallurgy
In the powder metallurgy process, molybdenum cups are used for sintering metal powder or ceramic powder. Due to the high temperature resistance of molybdenum, the molybdenum cup can provide a high temperature environment in the sintering furnace and ensure uniform heat of the material during the sintering process. In addition, the high thermal conductivity of the molybdenum cup helps to improve the heating efficiency and is conducive to maintaining the temperature uniformity in the furnace, thereby improving the density and mechanical properties of the sintered parts.

4. Applications in the nuclear industry
Molybdenum cups are also widely used in the nuclear industry, especially in the production of certain radioisotopes or in the study of high-temperature nuclear reactions. Molybdenum's radiation resistance and its stability at high temperatures make it suitable for use in containers of nuclear fuel or radioactive materials. It is able to remain chemically inert in high-temperature reactions and withstand the extreme conditions produced by nuclear reactions.

5. Advantages of molybdenum cup
High temperature resistance: Molybdenum cups can work at extremely high temperatures and are irreplaceable tools in many high temperature processes.

Chemical stability: In a vacuum, inert atmosphere, molybdenum will not react with other materials to ensure the purity of the process.

Mechanical strength and durability: Molybdenum cup still maintains good mechanical properties at high temperatures, is not easy to deformation and damage, and extends its service life.

Mosten Alloy can produce molybdenum sheet, molybdenum block, molybdenum foil, molybdenum rod, molybdenum wire, molybdenum processing workpiece according to customer demand.
