Molybdenum hot zone
Molybdenum hot zone has important applications in the furnace industry, especially in high temperature vacuum furnaces, atmosphere furnaces and other equipment, because of its excellent high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and thermal conductivity, has become a key component.
First of all, the melting point of molybdenum is as high as 2620℃, and in the high temperature furnace, the molybdenum hot zone can withstand extremely high temperatures without deformation or melting. Compared with other materials, molybdenum can maintain good mechanical properties at high temperatures, making it used as a heating element, heat shield and support frame in high temperature furnaces. In a high temperature environment, molybdenum can effectively maintain the temperature uniformity in the hot zone, so as to ensure that the workpiece is heated evenly in the furnace, which helps to improve the stability of the process and product quality.
Secondly, molybdenum has good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient, which can quickly conduct heat to all parts of the furnace and improve the heating efficiency of the furnace. At the same time, the low thermal expansion of molybdenum helps to reduce the deformation problem caused by thermal expansion during heating and cooling, which is critical for long-term stable operation of the furnace. In addition, molybdenum does not easily react with other materials at high temperatures, ensuring that the purity of the material is maintained under specific atmospheric conditions (such as vacuum or inert gas environments), thus reducing pollution and unnecessary chemical reactions in the furnace.
In vacuum furnaces, Mo hot zones are widely used in processes requiring high purity treatment, such as sintering, annealing and brazing of semiconductors, aerospace materials and high-end alloys. Molybdenum hot zone can work in a vacuum or inert atmosphere, avoiding oxidation, pollution and other problems, to ensure the surface quality of the workpiece and internal structural stability.
In addition, the oxidation resistance of molybdenum is also excellent at low and medium temperatures, especially under inert atmosphere or vacuum conditions, molybdenum hot zone can run for a long time without reacting with oxygen, extending the service life of the furnace and reducing maintenance costs.
In short, molybdenum hot zone is widely used in high temperature furnace industry because of its characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and strong thermal stability. It not only improves the thermal efficiency of the furnace, but also enhances the reliability and service life of the equipment, and provides stable technical support for the high temperature treatment of various precision materials.
