Tungsten targets are mainly used in aerospace, rare earth smelting, electric light source, chemical equipment, medical equipment, metallurgical machinery, smelting equipment, petroleum, etc.

Tungsten is a rare metal and an important strategic material. China is a big country producing tungsten, with 5.2 million tons of tungsten resources, accounting for 65% of the world's total reserves, and the output and export volume are the first in the world. The tungsten resources reserves in Hunan, Jiangxi and Henan Province are among the top three in China, of which, the tungsten resources reserves in Hunan and Jiangxi account for 55.48% of the total. The tungsten resources in Hunan are mainly white tungsten, while that of Jiangxi is tungsten, which accounts for 42.40% of the total resources of the country. Tungsten is a rare high melting point metal, belonging to the VIB family of the sixth period (second long period) in the periodic table of elements. Tungsten is a kind of silver white metal, which looks like steel. The melting point of tungsten is high, the vapor pressure is very low and the evaporation rate is also low.

After spraying and sintering, the tungsten target has the characteristics of 99% density or even higher, average transparent grain diameter of 100um or even smaller, oxygen content of 20ppm or less, and deflection angle force of about 500MPa. The cost of tungsten target can be stabilized at a low price by improving the production of raw metal powder and improving the sintering ability. In addition, the high sintering density of the sintered tungsten targets can not reach the high level of the conventional sintering method.
