Small solid state lasers widely used in various fields often use a small pulsed xenon lamp as their pump light source. The latter function is to convert the electric energy stored on the capacitor into radiant energy instantaneously. In order to ensure a higher conversion efficiency, the pressure in the lamp is usually higher. It must be able to withstand large current densities, transient internal temperatures of up to several thousand degrees, and transient internal pressures of up to tens of standard atmospheres. This requires a small pulse xenon lamp tube and other components should have high mechanical strength and heat shock ability, more importantly, to have a good sealing performance. Compared with large and medium pulse xenon lamps, the sealing requirements of small pulse xenon lamps are higher. The specific performance is: in the case of high pressure in the lamp and short sealing area length, good air tightness must be guaranteed.

A short-range molybdenum foil sealing pulse xenon lamp, its structure is in a filled with xenon lamp on both ends of the melt front cover molybdenum foil cylinder of the endpoint in molybdenum foil cylinder welding electrode, the middle embedded quartz bubble aeration, endpoint outside welding wire connector, its characteristics is described in the lead joint for a solid cylinder with three sections of different diameter, The thick section of the point is welded in the molybdenum foil cylinder, the middle section is longer, and the melting is sealed in the lamp tube. The thin section is used for connecting with the external wire, and the unilateral length of the sealing area is not greater than 3.6 times the outer diameter of the quartz bubble.
