High purity tungsten target developed by Institute of aerospace materials and technology can replace imported tungsten target
At present, more and more chips in our country are gradually localized, but many domestic chip production lines are imported, and the target material, as the key component of the chip production line, basically depends on import. In order to promote the localization of chip production line, the Institute of aerospace materials and technology of China Academy of launch vehicle technology has successfully developed high-purity tungsten target material, which can replace the imported one.
According to the researchers of the material, in the chip production line, the high-purity target material is mainly used for the integrated circuit of the chip. The higher the tungsten purity is, the higher the level of the chip is, and the greater the data processing capacity is. However, it is not easy to produce high purity and high performance tungsten targets.
Relying on the advanced material processing technology, after more than two years of efforts, the Institute of aerospace materials and technology has successfully developed the powder metallurgy large-scale fine-grained high-purity tungsten target, which not only makes the purity of the material reach the same kind of imported products, but also has high performance, which can replace foreign imports and fill the gap of domestic hot isostatic pressing metal tungsten target.
At present, a number of chip manufacturers have tried this material, which has a good response and a broad market prospect.
