Quality control of molybdenum wafer production

Quality of raw materials: the quality of raw materials directly affects the product quality of molybdenum wafers, and directly affects the parameters of silicon rectifying elements and silicon controlled silicon elements. For example, there is no reverse voltage, deformation and bending after tube loading and sintering, so high-quality molybdenum plate raw materials must be used to produce molybdenum wafers. The surface of molybdenum plate shall be free from cracks, peeling, folding, metal or non-metallic pressing in defects, delamination and inclusion. The shape shall be flat and the unevenness shall not exceed 5%. Its chemical composition and technical requirements shall meet the requirements of B3876 molybdenum and molybdenum alloy plate. Moreover, we should fix the supplier of raw material molybdenum plate, control the quality of raw material, make the quality of raw material stable, so as to ensure the product quality effectively.

Select reasonable production process: reasonable production process is the key to ensure the production of high-quality molybdenum wafer products. According to the quality requirements of the final product, choose the economic and reasonable production process. Due to the characteristics of high density (close to theoretical density), fine fiber structure, good plasticity at room temperature and high strength, it is recommended to produce molybdenum wafers with high quality requirements.

Heating system: the heating system has a great influence on the quality of molybdenum wafers in the stamping and re pressing processes. If the heating temperature is too low, the molybdenum plate is in a brittle state, punching and re pressing flat, which will cause delamination or cracking of molybdenum wafer; if the heating temperature is too high, it may not only cause catastrophic oxidation of molybdenum wafer, but also cause large plastic deformation of molybdenum wafer, resulting in uneven shape. The heating temperature should be controlled to be slightly higher than the plastic brittle transition temperature of molybdenum plate, so as to prevent the occurrence of brittle fracture and excessive plastic deformation. In addition, the holding time is also very important. It is appropriate to keep the temperature at the heating temperature for a certain time to make the molybdenum plate heat through and reach the same temperature in the table before processing.

Improvement of stamping conditions: in general, measures such as improving the sharpness of die edge and reducing die clearance can make the fracture surface of molybdenum round billet smooth, with less burr and neat shape. At the same time, the ejection device is attached in the female die, and the lubrication is strengthened to obtain good effect.

Abrasive particle size selection: the choice of abrasive particle size has a great impact on the surface finish and productivity. Coarse grinding generally uses a slightly coarse abrasive to improve productivity; while fine grinding is used to ensure the required precision of the product.
