Effect of rolling mode on molybdenum plate

During unidirectional rolling, banded cell structure is formed in the molybdenum plate, which results in obvious anisotropy. The cross rolling is to process the molybdenum plate in the longitudinal and transverse directions, which can strengthen the uniformity and equiaxed effect of the internal structure of the material, effectively reduce the anisotropy of the material and improve its deep drawing performance; on the other hand, due to the adoption of cross deformation, the flattened nearly circular lamellar cell structure is formed inside the plate, and the internal structure of the molybdenum plate is basically the same in the longitudinal and transverse directions The results show that the mechanical properties of molybdenum plate are the same as those in longitudinal and transverse directions, which provides a good internal structure condition for deep drawing deformation. After cold rolling, the microstructure of cross rolled thin molybdenum sheet is fiber-shaped slender grains and overlapped with each other. This kind of structure can make the stress and strain distribution uniform in deep stamping. Because the mechanical properties of molybdenum plate are determined by its final internal structure, the bending property of the molybdenum sheet is good, which is beneficial to the plastic deformation and deep drawing of the sheet. Therefore, cross rolling is selected.
