Although molybdenum has been discovered for more than 200 years, its large-scale development and utilization is still in this century, especially in recent decades.

Molybdenum and molybdenum alloys have been widely used because of their high strength, low coefficient of thermal expansion, good thermal conductivity and conductivity, strong corrosion resistance of molten glass, molten salt and molten metal, and good wear resistance of thin coatings.

Alloy steel, stainless steel, tool steel and cast iron are the main application fields of molybdenum, and its output determines the demand of molybdenum.
