Ferroalloys composed of Molybdenum and Fe, generally containing 50% Molybdenum and 60% Molybdenum, are used as alloy additives for steelmaking. Mo-Fe 1 is an alloy of Mo and Fe. Its main use is to be used as an additive of Molybdenum in steelmaking. The addition of Molybdenum to the steel can make the steel have uniform fine grain structure and improve the hardenability of the steel, which is beneficial to eliminate the tempering brittleness. In high speed steel, Molybdenum can replace part of tungsten. Molybdenum, combined with other alloy elements, is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. The strength and wear resistance of cast iron can be increased by adding Molybdenum to cast iron.
