Surprise: at the beginning of the lead project, team 9 / 12 collected 321 materials such as geophysics and remoteness for decades from the data office of the former Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Land and Resources. Faced with the vast amount of information, geological experts such as Liu Jianguang, Chen Guohua, he Xirong and other geological experts carried out secondary research and development day and night, combined with a large number of field surveys, finally summed up the geological rules: there are a number of anomalies such as tungsten, copper and so on in the area. Coinciding with mineralization; There are carbonate formations with high copper and tungsten background, and the magmatic activity in this area is strong, fault structure is developed and metallogenic setting is good. Previous data indicate that hidden rock mass exists in the deep part of the mining area. The exploration depth of copper ore in this area is less than 500 meters, and the boundary is not controlled; the hydrothermal-related alteration is very common and tends to strengthen to the deep; the mineralization changes from northeast to southwest and from top to bottom from Cu-Zn to Cu-W are obvious, and there is an obvious change of mineralization from north-east to south-west and from top to bottom from Cu-Zn to Cu-W. They suggest that the ore body of scheelite is mainly searched for copper in the deep and periphery of the mining area. In 2010, the September 12 team waved Zhu Xi, how to fight the first battle? During the second development of the data, team 9-12 found that prospecting line 42 of the mining area showed copper-tungsten mineralization with a width of nearly 50 meters. In July of that year, the first three drilling holes of the Zhuxi peripheral prospecting project were officially launched, of which the ZK4207 hole on line 42 was expected to be high. In September 2010, according to the report, the ZK4207 drilling hole was at the end hole of 1085.2 meters. * the apparent thickness of a large scheelite ore reached 62 meters, and the cumulative body visual thickness of the full hole scheelite mine reached 134.11 meters. Combined with the other two borehole data, team 9-12 considered that the number and thickness of deep orebodies became larger, and copper-tungsten mineralization was observed in granodike porphyry in the borehole, which indicated that the deep part of Zhuxi mining area had the resource potential to find large-scale deposits. There must be a big mine deep! Jiangxi Provincial Geological Prospecting Fund Management Center and Zhuxi Project team are full of ambition.

Ups and downs: risk-taking geological prospecting work is a high-risk, high-return investment, countless geologists may not encounter a few large mines in their lifetime. Just as team 9-12 prepared to expand the ore-prospecting results, a 1700-meter-deep ZK4208 hole was proposed to be added to the 42 line to explore the deep ore-forming structure, and there was an opposition voice. Due to the low grade of scheelite in ZK4207 hole, the first two holes saw only a few centimeters to a few meters of small copper ore bodies, the condition of copper exploration was not ideal, and the deep hole cost millions of yuan, so some experts questioned the deep prospecting work.

On July 27, 2011, Xiang Tempe, then deputy director of the Department of Land and Resources of Jiangxi Province, presided over a design review meeting for the purpose of scientific and reasonable deployment of exploration work. At the meeting, the 912 team expounded the deep prospecting potential of Zhuxi from the aspects of mineralization and alteration zoning, geophysical and geophysical anomalies, nappe overlying prospecting, and put forward the scientific basis for the construction of ZK4208 hole and the important significance of deep prospecting. The panel held a heated debate on the design of the project. * finally, the meeting decided to continue construction of 4208 holes, both copper and tungsten. On November 20, 2011, the analysis results of ZK4208 core samples showed that the apparent thickness of the whole hole scheelite orebody was 298.82 meters, and the apparent thickness of Dadang ore was 226.5 meters, the average grade of tungsten trioxide was 0.491%, accompanied by copper. Zinc and other mineralization of scheelite orebodies. The news instantly ignited the enthusiasm of all experts. * finally, ZK4208 hole on November 23, 2011, the end hole, hole depth of 1701.53 meters, 9-12 drilling team set the then solid mineral exploration core drilling record in Jiangxi Province. Subsequently, the former Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Land and Resources and the Provincial Geological Prospecting Fund Center confirmed the plan of 9 / 12 team to continue to look for ore deep along line 42, and approved the request of the project department to continue to implement ZK4209. On December 12 of the same year, ZK4209 started work. Since then, the 42 line has soared, and the thickness of the scheelite orebody has skyrocketed from 226m in ZK4208, 308m in ZK4209 and 449m in ZK4210 to 576m in ZK4211. The grade of scheelite ore body also increased from 0.166% to 1.616%. On July 11, 2012, Jiangxi Geological Prospecting Fund Center held a seminar on ore prospecting breakthrough in Zhuxi area in Nanchang. The discussion about whether to continue the exploration to the deep and to the two wings along the 42 exploration line further enriches the idea of prospecting and promotes the birth of the super-large-scale tungsten-copper deposit.
