With the progress and development of society, people pay more and more attention to environmental protection and energy use efficiency, and promote the progress of lubricating oil technology and the upgrading of lubricating oil products. Better fuel economy, less exhaust emissions, longer fuel cycle and more stringent operating conditions within the engine have prompted constant development and upgrading of additives to deal with it. In this context, an organic molybdenum additive, which combines anti-friction and energy saving and anti-oxygen and anti-corruption properties, has been developed, causing a wave in the industry. In recent years, more and more organic molybdenum additives and compounding agents containing organic molybdenum have been used in internal combustion engine oil, especially gasoline engine oil. The data show that about 60% of the energy produced by fuel combustion is converted to kinetic energy, but about 30% of the energy is consumed in various friction pairs. How can these "useless" and oil-consuming friction losses be reduced? The improvement of engine technology and manufacturing technology is one aspect. On the other hand, it is necessary to reduce friction and improve lubrication effect by adding proper friction improver into lubricating oil. The data show that organic molybdenum, especially modified organic molybdenum, can reduce friction effectively and improve fuel economy to a certain extent. The lubricating and antifriction mechanism of organic molybdenum is mainly related to the polished surface of the friction pair. On the surface of the friction pair, the chemical reaction occurs at the point of high load pressure and the tip of the friction pair, which promotes the decomposition of organic molybdenum. Decomposition of molybdenum disulfide and certain phosphates, sulfides, nitrides, etc. These products are dispersed in the oil solvent, adsorbed and deposited on the friction surface, and molybdenum disulfide forms a film covering the wear-resistant layer, thus reducing friction and resisting wear. The effect of lubrication. Nitrogen-containing modified organic molybdenum is dissolved in lubricant in the form of liquid, and a physical and chemical reaction film is formed on the friction surface of lubricating parts under the condition of ease. Under high-speed, high-temperature, high-pressure and other harsh conditions, organic molybdenum decomposes into nano-scale molybdenum disulfide chemical reaction film, which is superimposed on the metal surface by lamellar microcrystalline structure. The thickness of each layer is 0.625 nm and the distance between layers is 1.32 nm. The nano-scale chemical reaction film changes the motion mode of the metal friction surface from sliding friction to rolling friction, greatly reduces the friction coefficient, improves the extreme pressure performance, and has a long-term continuous effect.
